Why are Demarcus Beasley and Freddy Adu headed in opposite directions?

Demarcus Beasley looks like he's becoming a key player with Rangers: lots of playing time, scoring goals, getting assists. Adu isn't even getting off the bench at Benfica. What do you think are the reasons for this?

i never really saw anything special with him

now altidore is good he should go to europe
