  1. Its not about race its about his politics.

  2. They see it as setting a precedent, a possibility for more minorities being involved in politics.

A good article on this here:

  3. Europeans are not crazy about Barack Obama, but they are interested of what happens in other parts of the world. Especially on political issues like the election campaigne for a new US president.

If some of those "New Yahoo Users" would share the same interests, a lot of questions here would be unnecessary.

  4. I am happy they support him

  5. Because in free&fair elections this doesn't matter: whether a candidate belongs to a minority, rather his/his party's political programme is what determines the outcome and wins his voters.

  6. An elitest, snobb, Harvard grad, who spent his youth overseas and has an African father & a New Englander blueblood mother? What's not to like? Even if you were French. Don't forget his, albeit short, ultra-liberal, far-left voting record that just makes one-world Europeans swoon.

And as a consensus seeking, lets talk, no experience politician, I'm sure the Europeans are salivating at the chance to twist this freshman around their fingers.
