  2. well I know on fridays bc there are Catholics who cant eat meat on fridays esp. durning the 40 days of lent before easter.

  3. Those are religious days of the week on which meat (red meat) isn't to be served. Fish was served up in its stead and it just became a staple.

  4. Good question--being an ex catholic  I think It has a

    religous connection--pretty sure in fact!
