Why are Gibson guitars so expensive.. some of them dont even have a tremelo.

some of them like the les paul and the x-plorer are like 2000$ but no tremelo... whats so special in them??

  1. They sound like a dream and the craftsmanship is truly awesome.

    Also, people who buy a Les Paul aren't looking for tremolo (obviously).

    They are crazy expensive, though.


  2. Quality! - Made from the best materials and crafted to precise specifications. They also hold their value better than most other guitars.

  3. Well, they are high quality, I have a few myself.  

    Mostly, it's because their handmade, and use better materials.  They also made a GIANT name for themselves in the music industry, which means (even if they may not be as good as another brand) it is generally accepted that they are;  this could mean that the demand is higher for them also.

    They are great quality guitars, but it's mainly because the celebs use them!
