Why are Indian tourists travelling around the world, without first exploring India?

Why the Govt of india not doing enough to promote local tourism?

Most Indian's donot even know all the great tourist places in India. According to a recent study Indian tourists are outspending American tourists to the UK. Shouldn't Indians help the Indian economy first and spend that money on tourist destinations in India instead of giving money away to the British? Indians spending more in India would boost local economies and help the local poor by generating more employment!

They probably get good deal more by traveling abroad. Great bragging rites.  Sometimes they just tour during visiting relatives.

Indians have lot more money to spend. These Indians have seen most of India.

There can be various reasons for traveling. It is their money and they want what they can afford, why should it be anyone else's problem. If you have something better for their money try to sell it to them, but dont lecture them please.

You are right.The lack of even basic facilities at the tourist places born by the apathy of the Indian Govt. is responsible.Add to this bad roads, accommodation, rampant cheating at tourist places etc  make people hesitant to go there. For the same amount of money (sometimes even lesser)  you can take a holiday abroad.

It is the Indian way.  Let us explore the worst world outside.  Then, set our world right.

Look, Listen & Learn.  It is simple Indian ideology.  But It did not work.  But, Indians are still trying.

NO SERIOUS THOUGHTS.  SIMPLE LIVING. IT IS THE INDIAN POLICY. LET THEM GO AROUND THE WORLD.  JUST BY VISITING INDIA, INDIA IS NOT GOING TO BE RICH OR DEVELOPED.
