Why are Mexican men so disrespectful to women?

Does it work on their women?Why do they think noises and staring so long aren't creepy?I have at least 2-5 hispanic men everyday do or say something ridiculous!Why?Cultural?Do they know better?I'm so on the defense now.The kissing noises the honking and yelling the staring-it's driving me crazy!I go to work in conservative clothing every day,not that that should matter,but it seems to not make a difference how any woman looks.I'm not trying to be racist but I'm tired of it.I'm a minority too and hate this about myself but I'm so on the defense now....

I'm not like that at all. I can actually be shy at times. You've just had the misfortune to be around the bad ones, and yes I too have noticed how some of them act and it's quite sickening, I don't understand where it comes from. Mexican culture tends to lean on the "machoism" of things, but that doesn't mean we are all like that.

I know exactly what you mean and I completely  agree. The thing is some girls LOVE that kind of attention. Just ignore it there is nothing you can really do about it. There are always going to men like that.

i would say 90 percent of them are like that . the gangsters are disrespectful the most. then the wetbacks honk and stuff. i get that alot too. mexican men dont know better. its culture. date a white guy

Since I never got that kind of behavior from men in Mexico, I'm inclined to think it's something some of them have learned from associating with American gangsta teens and listening to rap/hip-hop in LA.  Guess it is a culture thing, but related more to American urban lack of culture than a specific country or origin.

I KNOW! you could be all covered-up and they still say stuff. it makes me feel so self-conscious like i don't even wear skirts or shorts anymore cuz it creeps me out if they stare.

I agree, ugh. I'm 15 years old and I was going shopping the other day completely covered not wearing S****y clothes and these old Mexican men were staring at me and saying inappropriate stuff in Spanish, I don't think they realized I understand Spanish. I felt violated.

And it's so not okay I do not understand why some of them act like that.
