Why are Miken bats and customer service so bad?

I had a Freak 98 for less than a year and had probably a total of 50 AB's on it. The thing literally snapped in half and the company refused to replace it because the receipt doesn't look like it is from an "authorized" dealer. So the fact that I am out $200 is no big deal to them, or that the guy who sold it to me has thousands of new bats sold on eBay. Just that they have a loophole.

I was warned not to buy Miken as they were pieces of garbage. I have now learned, and their customer service is even worse. I will never buy another of their cheap products, and I recommend none of you do either.

Yeah, we had a kid on our team snap his in half. Miken is a bad brand when it comes to bat.

They're really a no-name brand so they don't feel like they have to uphold a good reputation like Louisville Slugger/TPX has to.
