Question:

Why are Muscle Car getting good again while fossil fuels are becoming so faux pas?

I just saw the new Dodge Challenger on the road yesterday, and WOW! I almost thrashed my minivan gawking at its beautiful lines and aggressive scowling grill. Next will be the rethink-retro Chevy Camaro. The retro Mustang was a brief splash, but I expect it to only improve. However, gas prices won't support a market of reborn pavement-pounders. What gives?

  1. well     every    since     the     charger      came     back     out    a     few     years     ago     that      triggered      the     re-interest     in      the     muscle      cars     i'm    personally     in     the     mid     thru    late      '70s      and     early     '80s         camaro      rally    sport,   and     berlinetta   and      also      the    z28.       ain't     nothing     wrong     with     that

  2. I don't get what the big deal is with the Challenger.  $40,000 plus mark up for 425HP, 4200lbs, only revs to 6200 and 1/4 mile times that barely beat some of the rocket 4 cylinders the Japanese are building for much less money.  It's a joke if you ask me.  Why would anyone want one?  I doubt the Camaro is going to be anything to woo over either.

  3. The rich will always be able to afford their toys, No matter what gas costs. Don't hold your breath on the Camaro either.

  4. cars now also have more gears which leads to lower rpm's at cruising speeds. also cars and trucks are also running off of fewer cylinders when cruising. that dodge runs off of 4 cylinders while cruising at 45 mph
