Why are Native Americans ignored?

They are a minority,But unlike blacks that get so much attention and housing developments many of they reservations are almost third-world without running water or electricity.Alot of them arent allowed to drill wells and have to depend on a communal type well. It is anabomination how some of these people are treated. I have a friend whos grandmother is navajo and still has to cook outside on an open fire.

Because there are so few of them. And the 'club' is so exclusive. There are plenty of people with Native American blood that can't get recognition by the tribes or the government. I think if they cared more about us we'd care more about them. I personally don't treat them any way in particular, though. Don't they have the same rights as everyone else? I don't think they have to stay on the reservations.

I think its because Black people several generations back fought for rights. Native Americans have been so small in number that any civil rights movement created by them wouldn't even dent public interest. Your forgetting that it was only some 40-60 years ago, Black people in America were not allowed to drink from the same fountains, or sit on a certain place in the bus or have the same rights as whites did. That changed after an array of movements, rebellions and other similar entities.

It is a pretty sad situation, but now ask yourself who were the catalyst towards their situation.

I don't know ,but it really urks me how they came over here, stole their land and homes ,then claimed they "Discovered America". And in the Black community,I can't figure out why after all of these years of paying them back for the way they were stolen from their homeland ,why they feel the need for someone to be constantly "Doing " for them. Can't they do for their selves now? But the Indians, Not a peep do you hear out of them.  On the other hand,maybe it is best that they are left alone. Seems trouble is always around when you draw attention to yourself. I just wished people realized America wasn't discovered, it was stolen from the people who really deserves better! The history books needs to be corrected . And everyone,I have nothing against the Black community. Byee
