Why are Native Americans today in the courts of the land attempting to recover their former lands? Are they successful? if so, why. if not, why not.

it is something i need to discuss in american history class and i am clueless

  3. If people forced your family out of your ancestral home or took possession of land pertaining to sacred sites (or go about desecrating it)...anyone would be fighting to regain it.

    Probably not much different than people trying to reclaim Jerusalem if foreigners came in and took possession of it.
