Why are New Yorkers such reckless drivers?

I live in New Jersey and everytime we get a New Yorker coming here they swerve in and out of lanes, tailgate, and just drive so recklessly.

I understand especially in New York City there's a way of driving but why bring that elsewhere and put others' at risk when its not even the kind of area to be driving like that?

in ny just about everyone drives like that. thats what they are used too. they think everyone else cant drive cause they move too slow.  they also beep the horn a lot and speed. just be careful. thats why insurance is so high in new york now. they need to keep catching the train and the bus. and IM from ny so i know how it is

idk cuz they cant drive they mostly walk in new york

they are always rushing i guess they are soo used to rushing its just a habit

or they might think its fun

BECAUSE THEY ARE SO USE TO BEING IN A HURRY THE THINK EVERY ONE ELSE SHOULD BE TO .THEY NEED TO STOP AND SMELL THE FLOWERS
