  1. As someone who is going to vote for Obama, I'm thrilled that McCain picked Palin for his V.P. All the other canadates have allready been opened up & disected like a frog in high school science class. Mrs. Palin is going to go thru this process. We well see how she does. I also find it very odd that no other Republician who ran against McCain this year accepted the V.P. slot. I don't think they wanted to be on a losing ticket so they can run again in 2012. After picking Palin, I wonder how close he was to just opening up the phone book with his eyes closed & picking someone that way. This is going to be fun...

  2. Simple, they know they just lost the election and that the margin of victory will be large. We're taking back our Country and it starts Nov 4th with the Presidential election, than we move on to the senate and the congress. We've had enough of you liberal hate america first fools.

  3. Easy.

If McCain passes away, we're going to be left with Presidential Barbie as the Commander-in-chief.

    Not something anyone wants.

  4. Not me, I switched to McCain because of her.

She is the only candidate that supports banning the birth control pill.

It's worth noting that Gov.Palin is a member of "Feminists for Life", an organization with members that openly support outlawing all "non-abortifacient contraception" (anything that stops implantation of the fertilized egg). http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story/ff...

We may not be able to overturn Roe vs Wade but there is no constitutional right to the birth control pill.

Most women do not know that if your pill regulates your period, it kills babies.

  5. Obama supporters obviously don't mind idiocy. Look at who they're supporting.

  6. It's probably more scornful than scared.

Choosing Palin is a desperate grab for ultra right wing votes.

    It's his only hope.

  7. She is not even at the level of the rest of the candidates. She is like me voting for my next door neighbor and I would not trust her.

  8. We're not.  McCain has torpedoed any slim chance he might have had by his choice of Palin.  America will soon see her for what she is, an inexperienced small town politician who's radical right views which are not in keeping with most of the country. Another sterling example of McCain's judgment. Thanks John for making it easier for us in November!

  9. Trust me.  We're not.

We are just amazed that McCain thinks so little of this country that he would choose Palin just to have a shot at winning.

So sad.  So very, very sad.

  10. I say nobama 08 as well.

they are scared because she represents real America

    and they represent socialist Europe!

  11. I'm not afraid of Palin at all ... I don't think she would be any worse than what we have going now, in fact, she may be a teeny-tiny bit better.

What I am scard of:  Americans who are silly enough to vote for this nobody.  It kind of makes me wonder if the majority tends to simply get what it deserves.

HER HUSBAND IS EMPLOYED BY BIG OIL.  Gee, what a coincidence ...

  12. They didn't expect this and do not know how to respond other than with lies and smears...as usual...McCain out-foxed them...lol...

  13. http://openthread.dailykos.com/storyonly...

I guess you don't mind idiocy at the top of government.

    Obama supporters do

  14. Because they know that  she is ready to assume the presidency if Mc cain would die. She is against all abortion, how dare you question her she is a women.

  15. It only scares me because I know that if by some crazy long shot these clowns are elected, that will be the end of our country and it will force me and my family to expatriate.  I will refuse to raise my children in a radical Christian extremist 3rd world country.

  16. Because Mccain is 72 years old with cancer and if something happens to him, we know that this empty suit will become Commander and Chief!  Now, i say that is something to be scared about!

  17. I am petrified and horrified, YES!  Because this country voted in George W.  TWICE.  That's why I'm scared.  He's an idiot, he lied, everyone knew he lied, but he got re-elected!  At first I laughed and scoffed at McCain's choice.  Then I realized that it could actually happen!  YES I'M SCARED!  I was a Hillary supporter, that doesn't mean that I supported her because she was a woman.  I look at the merits of each candidate.  Palin is NO HILLARY CLINTON.  My fear is that they will get elected, something will happen to McCain and then we are left with an ill experienced, starry-eyed, MILF, with poor judgment, to answer that call at 3:00 in the morning.  GOD SAVE US FROM OURSELVES PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. Because a lot of Democrats are all excited about having a Woman for President but can't have Hillary.  They may just be happy to have a woman for VP and defect from supporting Obama.

  19. Because she is utterly incompetent in this time of uncertainty and is only a heartbeat away from being president under a 72 year old with 4 bouts of skin cancer. She's frightening because she makes Bush look like a better option.

  20. Who wouldn;'t be?  I will give them credit for being right on tthis.  This is the Dream Ticket, the real ticket of change.  I can hardly wait for them to take office.

John McCain has delivered by choosing Sarah Palin, as his VP. She moved into the Alaskan Governor's house and let the chef go, saying she could prepare the food for her family. Then, she put the Governor's jet on ebay, saying she could drive herself. She has changed what was once a corrupt system in Alaska's Government while Obama just stands by The Chicago Crime Machine, so he can climb the political ladder. Talk about grabbing the moose by its horns and cleaning up Alaska!  Palin became President of the PTA, which led her into being Mayor of her City. She stepped up to being the Governor of Alaska while maintainingg an 80% approval rating from both the Republicans and the Democrats in her state. Thank God John McCain never gave up and was able to look past gender to find the perfect VP to help him clean up Washington. Washington is broken, but together they can fix it.

  21. I don't really think they are, but if she is a young superstar like he is, it will be interesting to watch the politics up to election day.

She is the polar opposite of Obama:  white, female, and extremely conservative compared to black, male, and extremely liberal.

  22. We're not afraid of Palin the candidate...

We're afraid of Palin the VP, next in line to the White House.

McCain is the first president in a long time who's most like to die in office. This is not the time to have someone who doesn't have a clue about foreign affairs at the helm. We're on the verge of another cold war with Russia. I'm not going to roll dice on this issue.

  23. Because she's a woman, and McCain's choice of a woman symbolizes the kind of change this country needs.  Fortunately for Obama, Palin is against womens rights and interests, just like Clarence Thomas -who John McCain supported even before hearing Anita Hill's testimony- has worked against African American interests and rights.  When people examine her policies, they'll see that while her gender is a change for the better in itself, that's the extent of the change McCain/Palin offer.

  24. Because any attacks on her are easily deflected right onto him...

They can't go after her the way they want to....b/c to say that she is inexperienced can't float longer than 2 seconds....before somebody brings up Obama's lack of experience.

Take for example the following quote from the Obama campaign:

Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency.

They QUICKLY retracted this b/c they realized how fast that was going to boomerang right back in their face!

  25. do you not realize that McCain is 70+ years old and has had 4 bouts with skin cancer. we are in the middle of a war and an economic crisis. mcCain isn't going to win, but if you think of the slim chance that he might, and then dies in office, there goes America's sense of security. Are you guys welcoming another terrorist attack?

  26. Because she is a brilliant pick.  They would not be attacking her so fiercely if she were a poor pick.  Notice that the right isn't attacking Biden with 1/10th of the fury as the left is attacking Palin.  Why is that?  Because Obama's pick was a blank.

  27. Because they Know it's over for Obama. Most of the Hillary voters are moving over, They want a woman in the White House. I don't blame them.

  28. They are not just amazed.  Governor Palin is not politically savvy for the vicious acts in Washington DC that Senator McCain knows about.

Neither Party will restore and strengthen the protections of Whistle-blowers.  Do a Yahoo search:Whistle-Blowers+Sam's Club 6625

    SUGGESTION:

Whoever you vote read and study them them through registered mail ask question and demand sincere answers.  Tell him that you expect that they keep their promises since the US needs to unite or divided it will fall.  Tell them to uphold what the founding fathers risked their lives to create the USA.

  29. As someone who thinks both Obama and McCain's candidacies are pretty much jokes at this point.....I can ASSURE YOU, Obama supporters are not the least bit afraid of this woman.

Notice how Obama's people initially were going to attack her and then congratulated her instead and left it at that. She is not ready for the big stage [not by a LONG SHOT]...this decison was made in haste and on a whim by McCain. This will become more than obvious over the coming weeks.

Vote Independent philosophy not phraseology---McCain ain't a maverick, Obama ain't change. There are moe than 2 parties you know....

  30. Scared? Only on the slim chance ( slim = snowball's chance in h**l) that McSame gets elected and that she would be a heartbeat away from being Prez.

Other than that, I'm chillin' the champagne and just waiting for the election results of Obama/Biden winning this historic election.

Scared? Yeah, scared that McPain is capable of such a poor choice.

Scared? No, appalled that McBush is so desperate that he would think that centrist/liberal Hillary supporters would even dream ( = nightmare) of voting for a fundamentalist, anti-women's rights small town NOBODY who doesn't even know what her job would be, much less doesn't follow what's happening in Iraq and didn't even have a passport until last year.

Hey, I was an executive when I owned a retail business for almost 20 years, I was actually President, president of my corporation. And I've had a passport for WAY over 30 years and I'm a Vietnam veteran and studied government, history, money&banking, economics and even world geography in COLLEGE...so why didn't McPain pick ME, based on experience and education?

I can party like a futhermucker too, so doesn't that qualify me to hang out with McBush's army of lobbyists on an equal footing? The only drawback, maybe, is my gender. Oops, we aren';t supposed to vote on race or gender, so forget that last part.

Scared? No, we're laughing our butts off at that doddering old fool and his Barbie look-alike wife and running mate. He's a joke and so is McPalin.

Hey, maybe McSame could host several dozen families in some of those --how many?-- vacant homes that he owns. Oh... he'll have to get back to you on that one.

Please, world, cut us some slack, things will get better when Barack and Joe are sworn in.

  31. I don't think anyone's afraid because she has no experience, she's involved in different political scandals, and no one has even heard of her before now.  She doesn't stand out and this is definitely the losing ticket!
