Why are Peacocks so obsessed with Roads???

They seem to have this innate interest in walking onto roads and love doing it just as they see you approaching. Haven't actually hit one yet but it can surely only be a matter of time before one of their suicide bids actually comes off...

  1. Maybe the roads are warmer than the surroundings as they absorb the heat from the sun, and the peacocks like the extra warmth?


  2. they are not aware that it is a road in the first place.

    maybe they find it easier to walk thru the road to reach for the place they wanted to go.

    Morale of the story , the owners should keep them in cages or in the barn so they would not be hit by cars etc.

  3. Peacocks don't know that they are on  roads, no one taught them that they must look right then left then right again
