  1. Amazing how they can still call McCain a maverick with his voting record.

  2. Maybe they are taking a cue from Odumbers acceptance speech.

  3. becasue its easier to hate on someone or some thing, then it is to have a conversation about issues

  4. One of the first rules of politics:

When you are wrong on the issues.....avoid the issues.

  5. They seem to be using really nasty comments to scare you from his "lack of experience".  There numerous nasty comments about all kinds of dems are disgusting.  I hope it backfires and the are not laughing after the votes are in.

  6. Thats how these republicans are.  They have no idea how to really govern so they just attack the other side.

  7. Because they know in their hearts that the Democrats are right.  All Sarah did was bash Obama and talk about drilling for oil, which will cause catastrophic pollution.  Of course, since Sarah believes that global warming is a figment of our imagination, this would seem to make sense.  It was all the typical fear-mongering about how Obama will raise taxes and make us less safe.  Our pal Mr. Bush has raised taxes for everybody except the rich, and we are far less safe now than we were before we invaded Iraq.  Isn't it ironic that McCain votes with Bush 95% of the time, but tries to distance himself from the sitting president during his campaign.  How disgraceful that Sarah said the war in Iraq is God's will.  She must believe in a very immoral god.

  8. Someone tries to hit you upside the head with a baseball bat, you don't courteously point out the make of the bat.

    Let's not be silly.

As long as they avoid political bigotry, I'm in.

    Democrats for McCain/Palin.

  9. They are concerned with the Democrats because they know they are in danger of loosing the race.  They have not run a focused, effective campaign as the Democrats have.  McCain will soon face the challenges of having to debate with Obama on issues of the economy, the Iraq War, the mortgage meltdown, and high gasoline prices, weakened foreign relations, etc, which all happened during Bush's administration.

  10. fixing problems has never been a strength of republicans.

  11. They completely dodged their responsibility for the last 8 years, ran down the list of Obama/Biden flubs, and Giuliani inadvertently made McCain seem unqualified to be President because he lacks the all important "executive experience", and Palin didn't do bad but there were a lot of stone faces while she talked.

  12. Tell me what did they do at the DNC besides "McCain=Bush" "4 more years", "hope" and "change"?

  13. They cant do S**t against the Dems but rip them repeatedly. I mean dude, at least bring up something to counter the issues. Has Bush damaged the face of the republicans  throughout the 8 years of shame too?

  14. True.... it was just more of attacks than anything else.

  15. They're avoiding the issues because their stances are generally in keeping with already failed and terribly unpopular policies and when put plainly their stances with regard to things like women's rights are bigotted and backward sounding.

It's much more appealing to paint their opponents as wanting to take their money, kill babies, allow terrorists to take over the world, and poke you in the eye with a stick; regardless of if any of these things are true.

It's the old strategy of when you have nothing good to say, say bad things about the other guy. Kill the messenger and you kill the message.

  16. The Dems are a very real threat to this country!

  17. You mean like the Dems at the DNC? Yeah, they were really focused on the issues.

They are not purposefully avoiding the issues. They will focus on them at the right moment in time.

  18. Because you cannot talk for hours about abortion and g*y marriage.

And you cannot bring up the last 8 years of Republican leadership either.

    They have nothing else.

  19. They did more booing than discussing solutions. But I guess we'll have to see how the press rips into this.

  20. Is this a joke?  Have you seen the posts here by liberal losers about somebody's kid being pregnant.  I heard talking about taxes, oil, foreign policy, national security, leadership, social services, history, differences.

Perhaps you should have watched the RNC convention......

  21. BS! They stand for CHANGE! Dems just put on terrible shows!

  22. They can't run on the issues because the last 8 years proves they are incompetent.

  23. The last few elections have been won by the party that succesfully convinced people they should be scared and hate a particular group.

They're just trying to continue that same formula.
