Just wondering what you think ? I played both codes at a contracted level and found the pack in Rugby larger. I think League focuses on speed, strength, agility and a high power to weight ratio. Where as Rugby is more rolling with fewer impact plays but greater weight plays and when the ball moves through swift hands it amazing to see and slot into plays. An amazing sport to watch, it evokes immense National pride where ever your from !

  1. they're usually taller and perhaps heavier, that's because they carry a site more fat than league players. As you say,League depends more on upper body strength and superb fitness.

As a try is a novelty in union, they don't need people who can run, just big blokes who can push and jump
