  1. Not true.

Edit: All Muslims alhamdulillah are Politically aware, that's not a bad thing at all...........

  2. This is a false impression that many Westerners have.  Actually, the most radical (read: fundamentalist) group of Muslims are known as Wahhabi.  They are concentrated in particular in Saudi Arabia and the other Gulf states.  Wahhabis are ALL Sunnis.  There's no such thing as a Wahhabi Shiite.

The main reason that people in the West got the impression that Shiites are more radical is Iran.  Shia is the predominant branch of Islam in Iran.  There are certainly many in Iran who are radical.  They are mainly older generations are they have a degree of stranglehold on the government (though significant cracks have started to appear in their armor).  Most Iranians, though, are quite progressive and modern in their outlook.  Most admire the west for its freedoms and adore visiting Westerners (including Americans).

  3. Politics is a part of Islam so that means they are following Islam closer than us Sunnis?

Besdies, most Sunni Arab countries have governments that are dictatorships propped up with the help of the US and any political activity is dealy with harshly.  Look at Egypt and Saudi Arabia and Syria and Pakistan and Iraq and Afghanistan...

  4. religion has nothing to do with it.

Its Individuals, Don't mix religion with bad individuals
