eg, the Terminal 5 fiasco was referred to as a Brit failure and Murrays is being supported as a Brit and not Scot hope.

  1. why do we English pay for the Scot's university fee's when we have to pay for our own ?

  2. Wee bit of paranoia setting in!  I've only ever heard Murray referred to as a Scot.  This used to happen routinely but I think commentators are more careful now.

  3. I don't know. But if anyone from Scotland and Wales do anything good, they seem to be referred to as British. When anything bad happens, there Scottish/ Welsh botch ups. This is very true.

  4. Hardly a question.. And hardly a statement based on facts?

  5. England, Scotland and Wales make up the island of Great Britain. Therefore they are all British nations. In Sport some sports are played as separate nations (Football, Rugby, Golf and Cricket to some extent) but normally athletes compete as part of the UK team (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland). When Andy and Jamie Murray team up to compete in the Tennis Doubles in the Olympics they will compete for the UK not Scotland, the only time most sports in Scotland compete as Scotland as opposed to the UK is in the Commonwealth Games.

  6. Oh please it is usually the complete opposite The Scots and the Welsh do not usually get the credit that is rightfully theirs.

The English like to bask in the glory which should be the reward of our two great nations lets be fair the English are not really good at much whereas the Scots and Welsh are great at most things. writers inventors sports etc etc and lets be honest ( and we will see by the flood of angry comments which will no doubt follow from the English) they do not have much of a sense of humour.

  7. Well british success is usually due to english success, but we have to carry the welsh and scotts with us.U think if we had a UK football team there would be any scotts or welsh in it? NO.
