Question:

Why are Scottish currency notes not acceptable outside of Scotland?

The official currency of Britain is the Pound Sterling yet if you look on any english note you will not find the word Sterling. Look at Scottish and Irish notes and they all say Pound Sterling. Surely then english notes are not legal tender.
