Why are TV networks allowed to dismiss political candidates from debates when all states have not voted yet?

People in N.H. and Iowa may not think or want the same things that other states do. Since the debates are televised nationally shouldn't every state be allowed to hear what all the candidates think???

They have only a certain amount of time, divided by however many candidates present. So, they pick the candidates who have the most support- by the polls, and go with them- the fewest number to guarantee enough face time for each. It has nothing to do with shutting anyone up or holding anyone down.

I agree with you, but the debates are put on by private companies.  I think that the government mandating who should be in the debates would be a little much.  So really they have a right to bar anyone they want from the debates.

Media has the discretion to dismiss candidates because their operation is funded by private individuals or corporations.
