Why are US dentists substandard?

I asked this before but got some pretty weak replies. AND this question is about DENTISTS not doctors. As I wrote before I note that US doctors have old equiptment and charge a fortune for their lousy care doing procedures that are very old.

By the way I am not the one who made the US fall...so don't blame me for being critical. Today Americans think everything is fine...and relish mentioning third world countries as places they are far better than.

You're completely wrong, and where did you get your info?  The U.S. has the best medical care in the world.

It is because the insurance companies jew them down on their prices and they feel beaten by it emotionally. They think they are the greatest in the medical field and believe they should be getting the best prices. Insurance companies only pay them a 10th of what they normally require for the procedures so they don't do the procedures well, thinking it is justice. Same for medical.

Some of it also has to do with the fact that as Americans they feel like they do whatever they want. If you go in there and pay cash they want to milk it so that they can compensate for what they lost through insurance. They feel it is their right as an american to price gouge.

I am an american and think it is disgusting what they do. I fight with the dentist every month knowing that if I had the courage to go out of the country for my care then I would get better care and pay a lot less. I need dentures, but cannot afford the outrageous prices, so I can only have one tooth at a time pulled. It is so painful to get a shot in the roof of the mouth, yet the dentist won't come off the price so I can afford it to be done all at once. It costs him about $1 a tooth to pull, while I pay $100. As for the dentures, it costs them about $45 per plate, while they charge a thousand each. It is ridiculous.

I don't see how America is better at this, when most countries have instant health and dental care that is paid for them in their taxes. Canada has universal health and dental care, and everyone who is a dentist or MD gets the price that the gov. thinks is fair. I wish America would crack down on the price gouging for health and dental. I know I would be less miserable.
