they can pay them less, not have to give them benefits and if they choose work them overtime or on holidays and not have to pay extra.. They don't have to deal with paperwork dealing with taxes, etc... They actually have more money to put in their pocket that way..and then they don't have to pay taxes on what they make because they don't have to report the "extra" the stick in their pocket

Ah, the "Invisible Hand."  There is a demand for non US Citizens because employers believe non US Citizens work harder for less pay.

The same reason Canadian employers hire non Canadians for employment.

One job I used to work at in Canada hired a driver from NY and paid him cash. They thought hiring a citizen or resident would cost them too much money, so they hired this person and paid him cash less than that of a citizen.

As people continue to lose jobs and the economy sours it will be great to remove the illegal workers from the economy and pressure companies to pay living wages.The constant excuse is  that illegals take jobs that aren't necessarily popular among the average American. Which simply isn't true. Many Americans are being forced out of their jobs and businesses by competitors using illegal labor at $8 per hour CASH instead of paying regular salaries. It's referred to as making profit. Breaking the law for profit is a crime. Elected officials and law enforcement who look the other way are corrupt as well. U.S employers are keen on hiring illegals simply because they work for cheap and they don't need to provide benefits to their workers which leaves more money in their packets. It's RIDICULOUS! While I do not support Sen. McCain's presidential bid, he is the only one who has come up with a workable plan for this difficult situation; a guest worker arrangement where all must be registered, pay fines for illegal work and be deported if guilty of crimes.

Because they know most work hard, they are reliable, they know that they can take advantage of them by paying lower wages, and they know they don't make demands for:

Higher wages

Benefits (which is the reason some resort to government services)

More breaks

Weekends, and Holidays off.
