Sure, some men waste money on stupid gadgets they don't need here and their. But this is NOTHING compared to what women blow on clothes, shoes, make-up, hair, useless decorations, plastic plants, jewelry, etc etc etc...

Its funny that women complain about the "wage gap" YET waste the most money!

Explain

  1. Cus women are more likely to be married to a partner that allowes them to have idle time on their hands AND quite a bunch of money.

Also womens brains mature faster so quite a lot of them are 13 year olds trapped in the body of a 30 year old.

  2. I think you need to give some more explanation as to where you got your facts because it doesn't make much sense to me.  I personally at the moment can't shower myself with those luxuries because I have bigger financial responsibilities to deal with at the moment.  I am in charge of the finances in my relationship and we both do our fair share of spending when we want to, or rather, when we can.

  3. As a woman, I would be laughed at if I wore the same dress within a month's time.  I am expected to have perfectly matching shoes and even handbag.  I am expected to have matching fingernails, and wear my hair differently everyday.

My husband has 3 suits, and 3 pairs of shoes besides his one pair of dress wing-tips.  He gets his hair cut and it costs $7 once a month.  My hair cut costs $25.00, and it is long so it must be blow-dried, etc....

They women who have recognized that the system forces women to blow all their money on their looks, instead of investing it are the women you call dykes.  Ugly or not, they probably have all the money.

Looking good costs a lot of money for a woman.  My husband is gorgeous, and it is virtually free, except for the gym membership.

  4. Well, that stat would probably vary depending on whether she earned her own money or not.

ANYBODY, not just women, will be more willing to spend someone else's money, since hey, they didn't earn it.

And TBH i'm gonna take Rio's side on this, plenty of men blow c**p on useless stuff, i used to blow money out both holes like you wouldn't believe, mostly on pot(lol).

Now that i'm actually working a real job and supporting myself, i actually have like 5 grand in the bank already, and more is coming in every month(helps when you work like 14-15 hour days, i'm new on the job, so i'm working like h**l)

My last check was for 4 grand in 2 weeks.

Edit: Oh, come on Mila, nobody expects women to wear different clothes, whenever i get an idea like this in my head, i try and see if it applies in my regular public situation.

Most of the time it doesn't.

Really, saying society forces you to spend all your money on looks is just a bogus excuse for poor spending habits.

  5. Is this one of your famous "my completely baseless opinion is now a fact because I can't be bothered to actually seek out the truth" questions?

Do you think ranting here actually makes you sound smart? Actually it's quite the opposite. If men are so much better with money than women would you like show us your monthly budgeting spread sheet?

  6. People who were never taught good spending habits or how to manage money have poor spending habits.  It's independent of gender.

My husband and I both come from poor families.  My parents and his mother can squeeze a penny until it screams for mercy and passes out.  We were both taught budgeting skills early on.  His father has always been a spendthrift, and he remarried a woman from a rich family.  They have no financial sense, nor do their children.  I know women who are amazing at working with budgets, and men who spend money like it's going out of style.  I've never noticed a correlation between gender and spending habits - it's more to do with their background.

  7. While I disagree with your hypothesis. I am amazed by the responses from the female contributors. "Where is your evidence"! "Where is your evidence dam-it". Even if you did provide evidence to support your position, they would respond by rationalizing the reason why women spend more. Or they would try to defame your source as being biased. I learned a long time ago. Don't argue with women, even if you win, you still lose.

Edit: Thanks for the thumbs down. People often try to suppress the truth for their own self interest.

  8. I waste money like you wouldn't believe

Edit- I can't read, yet i can write amazingly well

  9. And yet another dingbat making ASSumptions about women.  When are people going to realize that making generalizations about gender will get us no where?  "Why do women do this?" "Why do men say this"?  Not all men or women do one particular thing, so unless you've got some statistics on this, stop making assumptions.

  10. that is so not true. my boyfriend is 32 years old and is the most financially irresponsible person. im so pissed right now because i found out hes ruining my credit by not paying bills on time. he seems to think this is no big deal.

your question is completely retarded, by the way

  11. That's not true. Some of us are quite frugal.

  12. And the statistics that women waste more money/buy more useless things than men would be where.....?

Yeah, I thought so. Another 98.6 degree "fact" pulled from a bodily o*****e.

  13. As far as the figures go, I keep finding conflicting evidence that women either spend, save, and owe more/less than men -- and especially so when I get sources from different countries which certainly have different economies, wage laws, and culture.

However, in the event that women are less tight with money, I would explain it thusly:

A general societal feeling -- even among many women -- that they really aren't to be held responsible.  That women are to be put on a fiscal pedestal.  Thus, held unjustly in this place, any population would develop less than average spending habits.

Among the many rights denied to women is the right to be held fully responsible for themselves.

    I don't think I'm wrong, but I could be.

  14. I have never purchased any decoration that cost more than my bf's wii.  Or his X-box.  The new set of tools that were better than his old set of tools.

The few gadgets most guys pick up here and THERE usually cost more than what I spend on clothes, hair products and make up in a year.  (Besides, if we didn't wear makeup or fix our hair, how would you be able to tell the feminists from the rest?  We'd all have hairy legs and wear flannel.)

He does shave his hair, so by default I buy more hair products.  Although I use them so infrequently (they make my head itch) that I think I still have the same bottle of gel for two years.

  15. Evidence, please.

EDIT-Ah ha, Good Karma got ya there...first, you complain and disparage women for not maintaining expensive beauty regimens, THEN you disparage women for spending TOO MUCH money.

You can't seem to AVOID being a hypocrite, or contradicting yourself. Wow.

  16. You're right. I checked your "Facts:" out, which you failed to provide. Women in the USA have more credit cards and more debt. They also tend to spend on personal items such as bills and things. Why? Because they aren't taught about finances. Why? Because sexism still exists. Men are still expectedto be the financial whizzes and provide the money, while women are expected to stay at home with babies. How can we change this? Be an active feminists and fight to provide education and rights to everyone.

  17. Do you have any evidence for this beyond s*x and the City? From my observations, men buy just as much useless c**p as women do when they have the opportunity.

EOGHAN G: That only means it's being heavily advertised, not heavily bought.

EOGHAN G: No, we don't. I only splurge once a month, if that, and I always aim low on my splurges. Product advertising is paid for not only by sales, but by investments in the company and by the existing budget.

  18. Yes, not all women are like this, but the ones who are generally base their decisions on their emotions and may be a bit impulsive. And for some women, it's an unstoppable force! I'm like a starving wolf staring at my prey when i see a pair of shoes i like!  lol!

  19. My dad's spending habits are worse than my mom. My father and my brothers even agree on this.

  20. I'm actually going to agree with you on this women. Women can be really stupid when it comes to spending stuff on c**p.

  21. Why are men POOR on self- control?

You really need to get your facts strait. Even if a women spent more money the wage gap is still there.

You don't have common sense at all.

  22. I suppose I'm wasting money by contributing to my IRA and saving money for my college textbooks. Don't make assumptions about all women. I suppose that buying flashy cars or big screen televisions is better? I shop at thrift stores and live for clearance prices. I just despise wasting money.

This month I spent money on food and items for my online shop. Why is that a waste? I bought one t-shirt for less than ten dollars.

  23. I'd like to see a source on that statistic.

Actually I grew up poor so I don't like to overspend, I have to keep my guy's spending in check.

  24. Ohhh but then you have posted question about why women dont wear makeup anymore , and make themselves pretty ?

Ok then , why is it that you really want out of us ? it seems to me you are confused !

  25. An essay in the Russian on-line magazine Pravda reports that shopping addiction is a "mental and spiritual disorder" that is now common "mostly with women" on that has recently "been shaping up as an epidemic." The piece sites "researchers" who iclude psychologist Nadeezha Yugrina who have "found out that about twenty percent of Geraman women acknowledge  their insuperable desire to buy something all the time." The piece offers undocumented claims suggesting that "the addiction has conquered 40 percent of American women, whereas 52 percent of British females siad they found shopping more enjoyable than s*x."
