Indian People : The Hindus don't accept this theory , then who do westerners especially when they have no idea about the Vedas , Upanishads & other Hindu Scriptures ? if Hindu Sanskrit scriptures are to be believed , India was once an island ( JAMBUDWEEP ), Sri Lankan people refer to India as Damba Dwipa , its very ancient name , which suggests that India was once an island , filled with Jambu Trees , native to the tropics . Rishi Patanjali , who wrote patanjali sutras was born in Jambu Dwipa ...that is India . This was more than 10 million years ago , even before the Himalayas rose from the bottom of Oceans. The Great Ishwaku Dynasty is supposed to have ruled over jambu Dwipa ( that is India ) . Shiva Puranas state , lands below the Himalayas ( between the Two Seas ) constitute Jambu Dwipa...that is India .

Maharishi markandeya & maharishi Parashurama lived even before Ishwaku dynasty came into existence .

being an Indian I know a lot more about Hinduism , Sanskrit & Sanskrit Scriptures than you westerners , then why do you people keep insisting that Sanskrit as an Indo Aryan language ...etc

Hindu Buddhist Culture once spread from India to Phillipines over 15 different countries across South East Asia ....Sanskrit words & sentences can be found in all South East Asian Languages , since it is too ancient .

All said & done , Sanskrit language is a language belongs to Hindus & Brahmin community of India , who know & converse in this language even todate ....

  1. i didnt know that.

i guess it because it be the most viable theory

  2. i am a blondie and i dont know what the heck you are going on about.

  3. As children, history books from class 1 onwards relate to Aryans coming from the west and driving the Dravidian's to the southern part of India. The difference of colour and phsique of the North Indians and South Indians are pointed out and proved by western historians.

The BC period history is very little known about India to the western historians and also the British wanted to destroy India culturally from whatever remained after the Moghul rule.

The sad part is that the rulers of Delhi post-independence tried to impose Hindi as the common language, which was resented by the South.Had the centre make Sanskrit the national language, no problem would have arisen. The PM, alongwith other leaders were educated in England and had little to do with the language part.Sanskrit is understood by all South Indians and even Buddist 'Pali' language is similar to Sanskrit. It may be noted that the lamas converse in this language and dont know Hindi or English.

Our leaders while advocating Hindi, sent their own children to english medium schools or convent schools. Now we have our current PM opening asking students to learn English.(3-4days back).

  4. I'm muslim and I'm not obsessed with that, i know a lot about it but I'm not obsessed.

  5. white ppl always want to take credit for everything...not all just the most.  india is mostlikely older than aryan countries and they derived their languag from india imo.

  6. Since some similarity is there between German & Sanskrit, Aryans may be from German

  7. I'm a "Westerner". I'm not obsessed with any of that. There are people who misunderstand all cultures, religions, etc. It's fine to explain things they seem to misinterpret, but it's not wise to start with a statement that can be construed as inflammatory towards large groups in general.

Besides, most of what you're talking about is theory and everyone is entitled to their opinion.

  8. because muslims and aryans are rival enemies.

  9. I am no professional historian, only an "amateur" but I think because it is believed that Europeans and part of Arabs, and others like Jews, were descendants from indoeuropeans tribes, that moved to their present locations some 12,000 years during the neolithic age, just after the "Ice Age". I can understand the obsessions with "aryans", which I reject.
