Why are airsoft grenade launchers so much money?

Over $100 for a piece of pipe. Why?

Because airsoft is a niche market, people can charge anything they like for even the simplest items, Eg a rail 3cm cost $20  I know its stupid, but as airsoft becomes more popular the prices will decrease.

Also Japanese and American airsoft equipment is not mass produced so its expensive, but, the Chinese equipment is mass produces so its cheaper, and the quality is improving a lot recently.
