  1. Films belong in the entertainment folder.

  2. Because Mumbai is Bollywood. Hehehehehe!!!!

  3. For the same reason that all Hollywood films are made in Los Angeles. Mumbai which used to be called Bombay is the film capital of India and the most productive city in the world in terms of films. If you take the B from Bombay and replace the H of Hollywood you have Bollywood. Its a bit like spaghetti westerns. Journalistic inventiveness fortunately or sometimes unfortunately gives us simple linguistic pointers as to the origins of certain things and what was a one off has entered into current language.

  4. eeeeeehhhhhhhhhh

    no idea

    stupid question

  5. the "B" in bollywood comes from the "B" in BOMBAY. that's where the name of the industry came from.

also: mumbai's the coolest city in the WORLD!!!

  6. becoz nearly all mumbai peeps are actors/actresses and its much cleaner and maybe its tooo expensive to make films in other cities and countries

  7. They don't do they? They go all over mainly Switzerland, Mubai, USA, seen one in England.

  8. because the film city is situated there!

now, if you dont know what is film city! then put another question on yahhoo!

    n i'll anwer that also

  9. I'd like to politely point out that all Bollywood films are not made in Mumbai! A lot of them are filmed in many different locations, and quite a few use iconic landmarks in London, England for example. A lot of Bollywood films are made in Mumbai because that's where the heart of the Indian film industry is - like how a lot of Hollywood films were, and are still, predominantly filmed in California.

  10. Mumbai used to be called Bombay and Bollywood was a mixture of Bombay and Hollywood.

Mumbai is considered to be the commercial capital of India.

At 36°C in the Summer with 95% humidity I'm not sure I could call it cool, but it's certainly very interesting. You have to get out of the 5* Hotels and look at the way real people live to appreciate the city. Try the Chaw Bazaar (Thieves Market) the Cages (Red light area) or some of the slum areas. Just as in Hollywood, all that glitters is not gold. Mumbai is a fantatstic city but it's a long way from tinsel town.

  11. cooool city, u know.
