  1. Those burgers are still huge in my opinion. I can't finish what you deem a mini.

In Europe, portion sizes are much smaller and the US must catch up.

  2. The "mini burgers" are most restaurants' answer to "sliders."  Sliders are technically a burger made by White Castle, which are steam-cooked versus being grilled or broiled.  These "sliders" you see in other restaurants can't really be called that, but chains like to hop on the kitschy bandwagon and make their own versions.

They're probably selling pretty well, which is why you continue to see them.  If they didn't sell, most corporate chains would take them off the menus and replace them with something else.

In my opinion, nothing beats White Castle for the real deal.

  3. the mini burgers you see are normal. you just go used to ridiculously sized half pond burgers. there's no reason in the world to ever eat half a pound of beef at one sitting.

  4. It's a matter of money. If you want a real sized burger, go to the diner down by the Interstate. The franchises are out for your money not to fill you up. Here's a real eye opener for you,, all the national burger chains use what's called a 10  to 1 patty. That's 10 burgers to the pound. So, even McD and the King are scamming you with big buns and little meat!
