Could they be trying to spawn? The degree is 77 and the water is very acidic. Are these what they like to spawn in? Please help and if they arent spawning what else then? Thanks. 10 points.

  1. ummm. did you NOT read up on this?!?!?!? you should have 2-3  females per 1 male, seperate her quick ,untill you can get the right amount of females, before the males end up killing eachother or her trying to all mate with her.

  2. YES! They are spawning. My danios recently laid eggs in my tank and I had to move all the adults into a new tank. When the male chases the female, it definitely means that they are spawning. However, try not to use a breeder tank because danios like to lay eggs in the dark/while they hide. I got a breeder tank but the females just don't seem to lay as many eggs as they do when they are free. I don't know anything about the pH or the temperature. Just remember to keep a heater in the tank.

  3. They liiiike her!

They want to maaate with her!

They want her to laaaay eggs for them!

They want her to have their baaaaybies!  ;p

*Addition & non-silly stuff*  If your water is too acidic, you have low PH.  To raise your PH you need to add some shell grit to your water.  If you can't find any shell grit in the fish section of your pet store, try the bird section.  Cuttle bone will also help.

  4. They are definetly spawning. The female however may be a bit overwelmed by all the males. If there are to many males she won't choose one to form a pair with. however, I am concerned about you acidic water as this can eat the eggs. To help the spawning I would take some males out and higher the temp a bit mabye to 80. Also lower your ph. When there is a pair you should get them a breeding tank.
