Why are all of the NFC East teams rivals against each other?

All four of the franchises in the NFC east have been powerhouses in the NFL in the 80's and 90's especially and have played games which meant playoff implications to one another or to eliminate each other to go to the Super Bowl.

Because that's the way it works. Any team in the same division as the Cowboys would list them as their biggest rival. Of course, I've heard the Giants-Eagles rivalry has gotten pretty intense.

If you look back through the years. the playoffs are stacked with NFC East teams fighting it out, and many times for the Super Bowl.

Im a Cowboys fan and I hate the Eagles by FAR in the division worse then anyone.  Matter of fact, I hate them or the Steelers probably the most in the NFL

every one in their own division is a rival because they are going against each other for the #1 spot and play each other most. its like that with every division, like mine, NFC North, bears vz packers/vikings packers vz vikings ect.
