Why are all the award shows on sundays?

it is really annoying cuz i can not stay up till like 12:00 on a school night. i know it sounds babyish but whatever. i was just curious.

They are at the start of the work week so that there is discussion about them at the watercooler.

The Daytime Emmys are on Fridays.

ALL award shows aren't on Sundays.  Daytime Emmys are on Fridays, Oscars on Mondays, etc.  Award shows are over-rated anyway.  Those people constantly pat themselves on the back and think they need a prize for doing their job and they're already overpaid.  I don't like award shows.
