Why are all the launchcast stations on ym converted to launchcast plus stations?

Question

I used to listen to the 'adult alternative' launchcast station on yahoo messenger ever since I can remember. As of late all the launchcast stations (excluding "my station") when viewed through yahoo messenger, have been converted to launchcast plus stations. This is so only when using the launchcast plugin on yahoo messenger. On the yahoo music site, the previously free stations still remain free.

I noticed that too, and it stinks.  I'm not going to upgrade, either.

Right now I'm listening to "My Station," which is still free, and has a lot of songs that I like on it.  Probably only the ones I rated, I'm guessing.

I read an article this morning and it stated that come July 15, 2007 it will be silent. When i read that I kept thinking of Don McLean's song " American Pie".
