  1. its nadal time

  2. Not  surprising!!

B'coz,  if u beat the number one in such an epic battle of nerves, strength and stamina, and upsetting the dream match of a legendary opponent, then u will be the talk of the season definitely.

  3. rafa nadal is the next big thing! he currently is not only the most talked about tennis player because he toppled the world sportsman of the year since 2004 roger federer on his back yard in a dramatic final, but he is probably is THE most talked about sportsperson in the world right now! he is very famous now, and soon will be a extremely rich man once he gets more endoresments!

  4. Wimbledon's a big deal for many people.... so it's basically about Wimbledon and him withdrawing out of Stuttgart.

  5. It's not just because he won Wimbledon as some posters have said,it's because he is the most improved top ten player in the past one year.Yes,he lost in a few tournaments early in 2008,but the moment his game peaked,he began to win so much so that it has become HABITUAL for him. This year alone he has won at least 6 tournaments and they are all big ones.Nadal has always strategically attacked Federer's backhand in the past but not enough to prevail in the two past Wimbledon finals, but this time because of his improvements, the pressure was too much for Federer. If the fifth set in Wimbledon was tie breaker, perhaps Fed would have won 'cos of service advantage, but since the winner has to be two games up,it was easier for Nadal to win. Why?,because Nadal always threatened to break more than Fed did.Although Fed had 13 breakpoints he could only convert one! Nadal just simply lifted his game each time and easily cancelled the break points.Fed just couldn't handle Nadal's service to the backhand. The best he could do was to float back a weak return shot, allowing Nadal to initiate the offensive. If Fed does not do something about his backhand(on a lighter note,I suggest he learns the double fisted backhand-just for Rafa!),and he meets Rafa at the US open finals, his fate will be worse.Everybody can see now that as far as Nadal is concerned it's no longer a playing surface issue. It's simply that he has taken his game to a new level which will make him prevail irrespective of the surface.Other players have to bear that in mind as they prepare to play him in the hard court season.

  6. It's proof that Roger Federer is old news everyone want to know about Nadal now

  7. maybe he's the hot property now since he won the wimbledon..im sure you know he's the 3rd guy to win the wimbledon and rolland garros at the same year..and the 2nd spaniard to win the tittle.

  8. Because he is amazing ;):P ! Is it a wonder why majority of questions in the tennis section are about Rafa ??? The guy demolished Federer at the French Open then came and won at Queens beating big grass court players along the way. The transition he made from clay to grass in such a short period of time was AMAZING especially for a guy who is known only to be branded a clay courter..... well he sure proved everyone just like i knew he would :) !!! He then went on to be the Wimbledon CHAMPION, dethroning the King Of Grass just what an accomplishment, just unbelievable :P !!! Rafa deserves to be the world #1 he is just incredible soooo talented and is a major force on ALL surfaces.!!! It`ll be interesting to see how he performs on hardcourts this season, its not his favourite surface but if he can stay injured free then i dont see why he wont go far in those tournaments.

    Vamos Rafa xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  9. Yes, it's because he won Wimbledon..

  10. It probably is. He's charming, a great player, a grand slammer, and now beat the living legend. Obviously people are going to wonder who the young man is.

Big Rafa fan. Love the guy, love the game.

  11. yes, because he won the Wimbledon. Nadal's time finally came... Roger is not so-dominating-as-before

  12. Because he won both Roland Garros and Wimbledon with so much drama!  Plus he's very unconventional with his capri pants and butt-picking.  It doesnt hurt that he's got good looks too.  Not to mention the humility that makes him stand out from other athletes.

  13. He just won one of the biggest tennis tourneys that has been dominated by Fed for half a decade.

  14. if you win 4 clay titles and 2 grass titles including 2 consecutive grand slams beating the number 1 player in the world, I may say your quite a celebrity.

  15. I think it's a combination of different things, winning  Wimbledon & the French Open , being a nice guy with no pretentious 'side', playing brilliant tennis and also being  young & very attractive to us females out here , people will naturally want to know more?
