evidently the world junior hockey and the world championships are going on during the stanley cup playoffs. wouldn't it be better for the sport to have these scheduled at separate times so fans could enjoy more of the game, the players, and the passion? why the scheduling conflict? go pens...

  1. Ur a genius. Shame the people who organize these aren't...

would like to see Crosby play on the same line as Heatley for once.

  2. yeah i know. it always pisses me off the conflicts between scheduling, but you get to live with it. the tourney's usually a little earlier but that wasn't the case this year, and they've done really good trying to schedule the games so it doesn't conflict at all with the nhl playoffs.

  3. I suppose it's tradition, neither the NHL nor the International HF want to change it, and if you make either go later, you risk good ice conditions. If the International one was held earlier 16 teams would object as they need the players for the playoffs and before that there are even more teams that are trying to make the playoffs.  This way you have well over half the NHL players available for their country's team, not all the best players in the NHL have been fortunate enough to have their teams in the playoffs. Same with the juniors, most are finished but some are still on.
