Why are alot of mexican people taking the side of houston instead of pachuca?

I couldn't believe how much hispanics (including mexicans) were with houston, alot of mexican chants in favor of houston, i bet the white people didn't know what they were chanting but just followed along, but i think is that if their favorite mexican team doesn't join the superliga they will go against any other mexican team that does, do you think this is true?

Maybe because they were playing in Houston? lol Remember Mexican fans only go for one Mexican league team if u live in LA and your a Chivas fan your not going to go for Pumas when they play against the Galaxy. LOL

well, actually i have to say that pachuca fc isn't a club with many supporters in our country. but also we must say that some referee decisions, specially a void goal apparently derivated from an offside, definitely were unfair to pachuca.

the reason why so many people don't like that club, is because its manager has been involved in some pay of favors to the government of the state where the club is adressed, and also has received help from one of the two most important broadcasters in Mexico, that is, TV AZTECA.

You have to know also that Pachuca had spent almost 90 out of their almost 110 years of history, in the second division, so its glorious story has begun 10 years ago, when they won their first championship.

so, i conclude: pachuca has been a winner club through the last decade, but it terribly lacks of supporters, unlike other clubs of my country.

Well jeez, you don't suppose these "Hispanics / Mexicans" that were cheering for Houston really aren't Mexicans at all but rather *gasp* AMERICANS whose fav team is Houston?  I have friends that are of Mexican descent, are proud of their heritage, but are 100% American.  They have never been to Mexico, and really don't want to go to Mexico, ever!  I'm sure a lot of you will come with your weak sauce and call them "whites" or "sell-outs" but that just makes you sound ignorant.  This will be interesting:  A couple more generations of Mexican / American people living in America.  Where will their sporting allegiences be in 2 or 3 generations, Mexico or USA?  Who knows, maybe the next C Blanco or a H Sanchez will be born on this side of the border to Mexican / American parents and will play for the USA!  I will welcome that day and hope ya'll will cheer for the USA as well as Mexico.

Maybe because Houston Dynamo's supporters group is made out of Mexicans haha but yeah I think Dynamo is a great team! Best team in the MLS if you ask me! I just think they can beat Pachuca without the referees help but oh well the MLS needs that insurance bonus i guess! And its like that here too i follow Chivas USA and most of the supporters are either mexican, american, or irish

i totally understand u...i had dis discussion wit ma dad..he says ppl lived there 40 years ago in houston..n they feel love 4 hopuston so they root 4 them...i think its wrong..their pickin us over mexico..these ppl gotta remember wer they *** from originally even if thet have lived most there life in houston...mexican team b4 any other club!!

Cause you probably tought they were mexican but they arent they are salvadorians etc. they dont have teams cause they dont know how to play so they might as well go for any team that sucks too i was in that game yesterday and the people around me wearing dynamo shirts were salvadorian

True. They might had not been Mexicans, probably they are people from Centro America. I have friends that are from

El Salvador and Guatemala, and they go for FC Dallas, since that's our city team, and they don't have a team from their country that could be in a tournament.
