  1. I think you mean Arthropods right?  

    The reason Arthropods are so important is that because

    they were among the very first living creatures in the ocean durig the Cambrian period.  

    Scientists believe that sponges, sea anemones, muluscus, and arthropods dominated the ocean and eventually the land before anything else ever did.

    Also Arthropods are so unique in that they have an exoskeleton, segmented bodies and jointed legs.

    They include everything from the Ant to the Lobster and anything else that has multi-pairs of legs, segmented bodies (usually a thorax and abdomen) and typically a compound eye and antenea.  

    If you were around during the Cambrian as well as the Carboniferous periods you would swear you were on an Alien Planet !

    (((also, they will out live humans for millions of millions of years!)))
