Why are anti-feminist against equality?

I am all for the sexes being equal.

BUT;

Men and women are different. Their minds and bodies are suited to different things. Men lack the ability to communicate or don't enjoy it as much as women do (best mates can sit for hours in a pub next to each other without talking and still leave the pub happy), women make good communicators and consellors, women can multi-task, men have more spatial ability than women hence 99% of pilots turn out to be men. And men can reverse-parallel park better than most women.

I can give you a 100 examples to show men and women are suited to doing different things and some professions suit women over men and vice versa. To turn a blind eye to this fact is just being ignorant and akin to saying "I can't see a thing" when you have your eyes shut.

The best-seller "Why men don't listen and women can't read a map" quotes a spokesman for an airline when asked whey there is such a small number of female applicants to train as airline pilots: "They are simply not interested" was the answer. Sums up nicely.

Believe both sexes must be given equal opportunity in the SELECTION PROCESS / RECRUITMENT only. And the gender factor should stop there. Both sexes must be given equal opportunity in the selection process to prove themselves for the job.

Anything beyond that should ONLY be based on performance, whether male or female. If a majority of male applicants do a certain job better than female couterparts, tough. Irrespective of the gender, applicants should be selected based on how competent they are for the task. That's why there is still a 1% female pilots - because their skills meet the requirements demanded by the job. Not because they happened to be female and there was some quota to be filled. And women are better than men for some occupations.

You wouldn't want me to tell you what we knew for a thousand years: that women are good at some occupations than men and vice versa.

Because modern feminism mostly isn't about equal rights, which in western society we already have.  It's about absurdities like women-only shortlists, preferential treatment for women applying for jobs etc, idiocies which are not about equal rights at all.

Anti-feminists are not against equality...they are against feminists and their attitudes and the way they go about seeking equality.

Take your question, for example....you assert that they "can't handle the fact that women deserve equal rights".  In your wording, you are being assumptive and disrespectful...and thats a perfect example of what turns most people off..

Oh, we like equal rights for women AND MEN. When women get more rights than men with less responsibilities, we tend to get a little worried and we start to think if feminism is good for both sexes or it's just looking out for women and letting men go to h**l.

One of the popular anti-fems here said it in one of his answers: He doesn't believe there ever can be equality-there can only be superiority. He will never believe women are striving for equality since he doesn't believe it can exist-right now men are superior and that's the way he thinks it should be and will fight to keep women from being superior to him.

He totally believes in hierarchies and sees equality as an impossible ideology. That's why so many of the anti-fems say that feminism is about socialism and is about destroying society-they can't see any other power structure could be possible other than that of men over women or women over men. There is a theory side of feminism and a practice side of feminism and the 2 dont match.

I believe that women should have equal rights.

However, many women want it both ways.

Equality, but to be treated as women too.

Women still expect men to pay for dates, open doors, equal pay but for less work.

Women typically take time off of work to take care of children or for maternity leave.  However, some women complain that they don't get the raises as men do.  Why would they expect that if they're not around doing the work?

IMO although the anti feminist male says he want 'equality for both sexes' I don't believe that is the case. I don't think he gives a d**n whether woman are equal or not. Men have been in control for centuries and they don't want to give that up without a fight.

I bet everyone know of least one man who refuse to have a female as their boss or take a direct order from a woman. It's pathetic the way anti feminist men need to feel in control of everything otherwise it threatens their masculinity.

The impression I get is that 'anti-feminists' are in favour of what they believe to be equality. However, taking away abortion rights from women and advocating restrictive gender roles (e.g. saying that the man must be the 'head of the house') does not sound like equality to me. I think they are just unable to see that their perception of equality is slightly (or in some cases, significantly) skewed.

Simple. Feminism is NOT about equality. Just because they (the feminists) say so does not make it true. The actions that have been taken and the ultimate results of those actions prove otherwise.

Women have had equal rights for many, many years. They have destroyed the family unit, taken away men's rights and they have the government catering to their every whim (for votes) at the exclusion of men, yet, like true women, they aren't satisfied. What more do they want?

I doubt they will stop until every man bows in their presence and licks the mud off of their shoes. It should be a cold day in h**l before that happens but if it does, hopefully I'll be long dead.

My theory of equality is that which is naturally endowed by nature; meaning I don't believe in that 50/50 theory you all have banging around; once in a while the scales are going to be perfectly balanced; most of the time not; once you may see it as a 45/55 or in the other person's favor and, or 33/77 in your favor; from what I know nothing is exact except snow fakes.

Insecurity?  No.  Security? Yes.
