Avocados are $3.50 each. Illegals, lets get with the program. Petition your employers to give you a pay cut, so they can pass savings on to us. Ridonkulous.

(Remember to wash your hands. Americans have to eat this stuff.)

  1. Expensive is all relative, you cant say $3.50 is expensive if you dont know the cost that you would incurr if cheap laborers aka illegal aliens had not grown the produce, because the cost can very well be twice is high or maybe just a penny more.....

one thing is for sure illegals DO keep the cost of produce LOWER THAN U.S. citizens and/or legal aliens...

  2. because they do not keep prices down. They have been shitting on our food over there, so I would be afraid to eat anything that comes from mexico right now!!!

  3. I don't know, but illegals need to stay out.

  4. is this sth related to immigration? why you are posting this **** over here. just post it in the economy section if you really wanna know.

  5. Where are you buying avocados?  They cost $1.29 each where I live and they have to be shipped halfway around the country because they don't grow around here.

  6. this is freakin hysterical!

  7. I'll take a dump on your food anytime I want.  It's just my way of saying "thanks".   ;)

    (tongue in cheek guys)

  8. because ur trying 2 send us back!

we cant work in these conditions!

oh and yea u can b sure we r washing our hands. we dont want 2 make u sick right?

  9. Labor is only a very small part of the cost.  The facts are that this cheap labor we keep hearing that we can't do without has very little effect on pricing.

Energy costs are the biggest reason and they are driven by supply and demand.  A 5% increase in demand can drive the price up by over 50% in a tight supply side commodity like oil.  Throw in that we would reduce our demand by deporting 20 million illegal aliens and I think most Americans would save a lot of money.

    Lower taxes.

    Lower health care costs.

    Lower commute times.

    Lower crime rate.

    Lower population density.

    ETC ETC ETC

  10. Just got back from the grocery 10 minutes ago.  A large one was $1.79; a small one was under a $1.  All of them were hard as a rock and will take a week to soften up.

Since it is a major export from Mexico, I dint understand the cost myself.  I can get 10 freakin' paper mache pinatas for $1.

  11. Just buy guacamole. It's cheaper.
