Why are baseball Pitchers so tall?

Question just crossed my mind and felt like asking. I mean you hardly see any pitchers under 6 foot nowadays.

It gives them more leverage when throwing, and it also helps them throw "downhill" which gives more velocity and puts more break on a curveball... It is also is good for intimidation.
