Question:

Why are bee's hearts connected to their thorns?

Would that not prove fatal when they sting an enemy because the stings have a hook on it?

    when the barb of the sting ( Thorn if you prefer ) gets embedded in human skin ,it canot be easily removed and ends in the death of the bee ( Same if it stings a bird ) .

    But for other insects and enemies , it can sting repeatedly .
