Supply and demand eh? Doesn't really make sense. More like demand and convience right?

  1. everything is cheaper to buy in bulk, this is what keeps stores like costco and bj's in business. the more you buy, the more money you save.

look at the grocery store, on the little tag on the edge of the shelf with the price on it, theres a little orange square on the corner of the price tag that says price per pound or price per liter or whatever. thats how you know which is really the better deal.

  2. The 20oz bottles require more packaging than the larger bottles (especially the 2 liters), and that increases the cost. Generally, the smaller the packaging the higher the cost per ounce.

  3. Why does 6.4 (1 US Gallon) 20oz bottles of plain water cost more than gasoline?

Somebody somewhere is making big bucks!

  4. It really is a lot about convince, also where people tend to buy the 20 oz sodas. People have a habit of buying them at Convince Stores(gas stations) then at Grocery Stores. So these are people traveling that aren't likely going to drink from a 2 liter bottle. Wouldn't bother me, but most wouldn't do it, and you also have to consider the driver that basically can't. Also most people are too lazy to check prices. Even Fountain Drinks are sometimes cheaper then a 20 oz bottle, because some places say all sizes for a dollar.

  5. Just think of the...SUPPLY & DEMAND!!
