Question:

Why are black people so particular about their hair, regarding Wade and Beijing hair cutters?

Dwyane Wade said he won't let anyone overseas cut his hair. Gary Payton and Vince Carter grew their hair out because they wouldn't let anyone touch their hair in Sydney.

How hard is it to cut the hair of these guys? Clippers are so easy to use. Chinese people love clippers. It's not like doing black women's hair.

No wonder these guys go broke. Get your hair done by someone at home with clippers or at BoRics, it makes no difference.

  1. for dwyane wade's case, i would think that since he stumbled in a bad season with the heat, he believes after resting, he is fresh and new so he would want a new image like starting over. and he did it with his hair

  2. well if ur  half black why don't u ask ur black family this question.

  3. What up Toucan,

i don't know that you should be stereotyping an entire race of people- based on a couple of high profile NBA players.  Some people are more particular than others.  The Dwayne Wade comment confuses me though- didn't he just shave off all his hair???

  4. Looks to me that Wade gets his hair shaved so I dont know what's the big deal. Carter and Payton are already bald so I dont see anything to get sensitive about.

  5. It's a race thing. People usually go to barbers of their own race because the people who understand your hair the most is people of your own race. A Black person's hair is different from a White or an Asian person's hair. Also most people have one spot where they always go to get a haircut.

  6. The reason is, because Black ppl's hair, typically grows slow...If a person with white people's hair gets a bad haircut, its no big deal, because their hair will grow back out in 3 weeks...go to a black barber shop and I promise you will get the best hair cut of your life, it will take about 45 min. but your hair will be flawless

  7. They just have a preference for the barbers they're used to here. Even though clippers may be easy to use, not just anyone can pull off a nice fresh-cut. It's not a crime for a guy to take pride in the way his hair looks.

  8. its obvious white people cant cut hair
