Why are boring machines called boring machines?, they sound so boring!!!

  1. because, people are being disrespectful to the machines by calling them boring...


  2. Bore is a homonym, a word with more than one meaning, often both pronunciations sound the same. Bore has other meanings too:

    A bore tide is a surge of a flood tide upstream. e.g. The Severn Bore.

    A gun's bore is the diameter of the hole drilled through its barrel.

    'Bank' is another homonym.

    See, isn't learning wonderful? Sorry, I probably bore you. :-)
