  3. Haha I dont know, I think a right would be better.  I think its so the apponants can have their own corner

  4. I'm guessing the question is meant to be humorous, but yeah... the fighters actually used to fight in a ring. The name just stuck, even after the fighting area changed to its current shape.

    (Sumo wrestlers still fight inside rings, e.g.)
