  1. there is always a red and a blue corner in boxing. in amateur boxing they always wear either red or blue equipment. In professional boxing there is still the red or blue corner but the gloves they wear can be of any color they want. some prefer black. It is not always black and red there are many times when the gloves are the color of the flag where that boxer came from. such as when there is a Mexican fighter. There are all sorts of colors the gloves can be in a professional fight.

  2. No particular reason - just because the designer/manufacturer thought it looks good and would sell.

  3. Gloves used in amateur boxing are frequently red or blue, with a white area to help judges record points.  From me- blogbaba

  4. imagine how lame a pink helmet might look.

  5. Red to soak up the blood and not appear as if there was any blood at all.....black so that blood is camoflaged....

lol just kidding i have no idea...

  6. Generally boxing gloves are made of leather, when properly tanned, this will turn out black, the red and blue dyes are added to make the gloves stand out and be eaiser to see/be scored by judges.
