I'm not complaining, but hey, if you want to wear a Speedo, be my guest. Just don't come around me while wearing it.

There are a couple of reasons for requiring people to wear proper swimming attire in a public pool.  1.  safety;  swimwear is specifically designed for the activity and will not interfere physically.  I have seen instances where improper clothing contributed to a person's trouble in the water that then led to a rescue situation.  2.  sanitation;  wearing 'street clothes' into a pool, including regular shorts, tank-tops and such, can introduce dirt and germs into the water, as well as detergent and soap residue that affects the pool chemistry.  

Regular swim trunks or a swim suit are your best bet!

You could pull a Borat and wear a slingshot if you want ;P

It's not that boys aren't allowed to wear other forms of swim suits, but that most people are not appreciative of the view the tighter garments give.

Unless you're talking about boys like... little boys, in which case you definately want to stick with trunks or shorts o.O;

i say. wear what you want to wear. it's your choice. don't worry about what other ppl say you should wear.

Wear what you are most comfortbale in. You can even wear a speedo.

Well boys can wear Speedos, Trunks, Wet suits,and Leg suits. In a pool you cannot wear normal clothes because of the fact that they might be dirty and make the water unsanitary and that normal clothes can become EXTREMELY heavy when you swim in them.
