Why are boys so insensitive??

An example is when I was leaving for

India a year ago. I was crying because I was going to miss my dad. My brother started making fun of me and saying cruel things and I couldn't figure out why...

I don't think it's just boys, but siblings in general.  There are four kids in my family and we all tortured each other when we were little.  Now, we get along great.  

Advice though: don't react to your brother's torment and he probably won't have any more fun doing it and will stop.

because your brother wasn't the one leaving and it is not a big deal for him.

It also might be a way of coping with his sadness. Maybe he was sad that you are leaving for India and he knew that he would be missing you, but most guys are afraid to show emotion, they have the pressure to be tough. And he was just trying to cover up his emotions by being seemingly insensitive.

Also, you need to know that emotionally boys grow up  much later than girls.

Because they are trying to be tough and not make out that they are truly sad,Males are silly numb nuts and need to CRY some times but they will only cry when alone.

I don't know,I guess it's just the way guys are.They don't understand why girls are nore sensitive then them,and that's just stupid.I just think that if you were crying your brother should've been trying to make you feel better. I think maybe your brother was feeling upset to,but didn't want to show it.

because he's going to miss you they just don't cry they have egos and their macho ways they don't wanna feel less than a man if they cry.
