  1. All organs are a collection of cells. If you loose brain cells, the ability for your brain to function properly might decline. For example, if someone had a stroke, they may loose the physical ability to move body parts. This partially due to massive death of brain cells. Drugs and high impact accidents can have similar effects. Other parts of the brain might effect ability to speak or ability to remember.

Of course, the saying, "Don't bang your head because you might loose some brain cells" is completely bogus. This is bogus because the amount of force caused by banging your head doesn't cause enough damage. Your body can repair itself.

  2. well you know we have 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000... cells in our body. every single organ is made up of cells, and our BRAIN is the MOST important. Unlike all the other organs (like skin, heart, blah blah) your brain does NOT reproduce its brain cells. Once they are dead, thats it! Sooo.... if (when) we lose them, YES they affect you! Your brain controls Everything!!!

Why are you asking this question?? Do you want to do drugs?? Dont do them!! Simple.

    Edit:

To really answer your question (cause i'm so bored!) you can appear "ignorant" when you lose brain cells...

for instance, if you do drugs (like smoke weed) it can cause your reaction time to be slow, memory loss, and thie "giggles" lol...so you can appear stupid...

Also, strokes can cause brain loss in affected areas can cause speech deficits (not being able to express themselves and/or understand poeple)... so they can appear stupid.

And old age... a lot of diseases that come with old age like Parkinson's or Alzheimers or Dementia is really cruel to your brain and causes brain cell loss.... so people do lose their memory and ability to form simple functions (like brushing your teeth or eating!) so i guess they can appear stupid. how awful to say! lol

Overall, there is No current BRAIN TRANSPLANT procedure out there... so if i were you i would protect my brain!! =)

  3. It is not necessary to lose brain cells to become ignorant.
