you know patty on one side, half of cheese hanging off burger.......does this just happen to me? I went to japan, and all the items they serve you(at mac, wendys, etc) look like they do on the menu, and everything is aligned like they give a sh#t............ is the US lacking pride in our work? I mean if you cant make a burger right, nevermind

  1. The emphasis is on fast not food.

  2. Excellent Question.  I am often wondered that myself.  I think it's just the way Americans do their jobs without pride anymore.   I got a Double Cheeseburger from McDonald's recently.  There was a big glob of onions in one spot and the cheese was way off the bun.  And it only had one folded pickle.  I was a little disappointed, but it tasted okay after I fixed it up myself.  LoL.

  3. it is FAST food but they should still make it look like they actually care!!!!    even though they are probably making minimum wage, not much training, no degrees or working on their degrees, have children, 2-3 jobs trying to make ends meet. they still should have a little pride in what they are doing

  4. If you think McDonalds hamburgers are misaligned, try getting a filet of fish.  The cheese usually sticks to the bun and you have to tear part of the bun off to move it over where it should be.  I think it is just a "I don't care attitude" towards their customers.

  5. There are two reasons why this happens to your food, and neither has to do with the education or training of the person making your order. The first reason is the consumer. That person may see their burger as being messy, and may wonder why the maker couldn't take a few more seconds to make the meal look appealing, but if you think about how many seconds it would take to make each thing look nice, multiply it by hundreds of each item, because that is how much would be made at a peak time of the day( lunch time and dinner time), and then stand at the end of the line as these things are all being fussed with for the customers ahead of you and in the drive through...well do you want to be on the end of that line-up? The other reason is $$$$$. These companies do not care how your food looks, all they care about is that a LOT of it is sold, because the more customers pushed through per hour means more money for them. I know this for a fact because I work in a fast food restaurant and that is always being preached to us. I also guarentee you will NEVER have a meal that looks like the one one the menu because they are made by food stylists who can take up to a whole day just to produce the 'perfect' hamburger. So, having said all this, if you want eye-appealing food then make it at home; If you want fast food, then suck it up and head to the burger joint.

  6. The people that work there are in to much of a hurry, don't care and have no pride in their work.  Isn't that obvious.
