  1. High speed cars equal high profits for the car manufacturers, plain and simple.........

  2. Good point,  Cars should only be able to go around 110kph, But then again, The cops would be out of the speed ticket business, lol

  3. If you can bypass the government speed limiter, you can get up to speed that are not recommended for your car.  I wouldn't suggest you doing so unless you have the right kind of tires to handle the necessary speed you are trying to achieve.  Like said above, cars like these are not average daily drivers, these cars are strictly made for the tracks, competition, basically sponsored events that require lots of money.

  4. Because different countries have different speed limits. :)

  5. Dear EZ:  Well, you may think that 'cars' are only used on public highways.  That of course, is not correct.  Many cars are used for competition events, and it is appropriate for them to 'hit speeds' that you might feel are ridiculous.  Additionally, some of us like to drive fast.  Very fast. That is our right.  It is your right, as an apparent member of the 'nanny state' to be 'abhorred' at those speeds.  And, if I get caught, I will pay the fine.  You might be happy to know that on some gm vehicles you can order a governor/speed limiter-perhaps they can retrofit one on your own car, if you own one.  If you do, please drive sensibly, and stay to the right if you want to drive slowly, 'cause, if you can't run with the 'big dawgs', stay on the porch.

  6. I guess you've never driven across Kansas.  Muhahaha!

  7. It won't be for the streets. This would usually be for racing tracks for you to test your speed (for example, in the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia).
