How do cats have so many kittens during one pregnancy, do they have multiple eggs?

  1. Cats only release eggs when the male mates with her (called induced ovulation), so that male fertalizes those eggs. Another male can cause her to release more eggs and fertalize those.


  2. from my experience of having cats is that not all the time cats have allot of kittens it depends on the male cat, and no they do not have multiple eggs the create babys just like women do but faster.
