  1. they are a desert animal and i have never had one that likes water, so yea i would say they are.

  2. Some cats aren't afraid of water, take a tiger for example they love the stuff you often see photos of tigers in the wild swimming.

My cat loves it as well, one year i had a little yellow paddling pool and Sparky was caught playing with it pawing at the water and stuff.

I think some cats don't like it because it shocks them when it hits them, and normally water is cold so they get shocked by that as well.

    Hope this helped.

  3. The real truth is that cats are NOT frightened of water, but are wary of it and have a natural aversion to it.

  6. maybe because they don't know how to swim

  7. Well all cats are different. Mine for example has a facination w/ water now.  Just yesterday i put the water to my ankles in the tub and put some toys in there and he went in walked around and played for a moment and came out.  He still jumps into the tub w/ or w/out the water being in there.  And he is only 11 weeks old.  One thing i do notice thoug his they walk slower so just like when you get your hair weit it makes them heavy. Would you be afraid of water if someone spuirts you w/ it os forces you into something you dont want to do.... i would. Once they get use to it they are not affraid much.  But again not all cats are the same.

  8. sorry for bad english.

my 4 months old cat isn't afraid of water!

When my daughter plays with water the cat wants to play with her, when I wash dishes or floors she is always there, when we are in the bathroom to take a shower she wants to come in the bathtub  :)

  9. Cats are not afraid of water...they just don't care to be in it, I'm sure it has something to do with being out of its element, and not having a secure place for their feet...Some cats will splash and play with water and enjoy this alot...but they don't care to be in water and of course hate being bathed, which has very little to do with the water, and a lot to do with the fact that they're being confined.....

  10. cats just dont like water but they can swim

  11. I don't think they are afraid of water, they just don't need it the way a dog does.  Cats bathe themselves, so there is no need to put them in water, unless they are extremely dirty.
